**The Business Development Manager**

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong client relationships within the maritime industry. Reporting directly to Commercial Director, the Business Development Manager will be a key driver in achieving our ambitious growth objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Business Development**
- Identify and assess new business opportunities within the maritime sector.
- Develop and implement strategies to enter emerging markets and secure critical contracts.
- Conduct market research and analyze competitors to uncover industry trends and opportunities.
- Aggressively pursue and close new business opportunities with ship agencies, chandlers, and other key stakeholders in the maritime sector.
- Develop and execute strategies to enter emerging markets, secure critical contracts and expand market presence in high-value OPL operations.
- Proactively manage the sales pipeline to achieve monthly.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to uncover trends and identify new opportunities.

**2. Client Relationship Management**
- Leverage an extensive network to secure long-term contracts and partnerships with key clients.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring excellent client satisfaction.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts to achieve or exceed sales targets.

**3. Strategic Planning**
- Collaborate with senior management to align business development initiatives with company goals.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent is advantageous.
- **Experience**
- 4-5 years of success in business development or sales within the maritime or shipping industry. of proven success in business development or sales within the maritime, shipping, or harbour craft industry.
- Demonstrated ability to secure and grow high-value accounts.
- Background in ship agency, ancillary services, launch operations, or harbour craft operations is highly preferred.
- Experience managing large accounts and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
