**Responsbilities**:

- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and project-specific HSE requirements during commissioning.
- Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-task risk assessments for teams on site.
- Perform regular site inspections and HSE audits to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage and oversee the permit-to-work system, ensuring all high-risk activities (e.g., LOTO, hot work) are authorized and safely executed.
- Investigate near-misses, incidents, and accidents, and compile reports with root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with workers and supervisors on best HSE practices.
- Maintain updated HSE documentation, including risk assessments, training records, and incident logs.Ensure that emergency response procedures are in place, well-communicated, and practiced through regular drills.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- 5-10 years of relevant experience in HSE roles within commissioning, construction, shipyard, or oil & gas environments.

**Certifications**:

- Valid SSIC (Shipyard Safety Instruction Course).
- Certified in recognized HSE standards such as NEBOSH, WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH, or ISO 45001 (or equivalent).
- Valid medical clearance, preferably OGUK (or equivalent certifications).
- Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and risk assessment procedures.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard identification, incident reporting, and emergency response protocols.
- Experience conducting safety audits, toolbox meetings, and site inspections.
- Good knowledge of safe work practices for mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities.
- Proficient in using safety documentation tools, including HSE plans, reports, and checklists.

**Work Conditions & Other Requirements**:

- Willing to work night shifts as required by project schedules.
- Able to adapt to high-paced project environments and changing site conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence safe behavior across all site personnel.
- Team player with the ability to coordinate closely with commissioning and construction teams.
