A Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS), working on microcavity exciton polariton experiments.
Job Responsibilities- Synthesis and fabricate of active mediums for exciton polariton studies- Use lithographic techniques such to etch lattice/network/circuit patterns- Perform characterization of structures using atomic force microscopy and optical spectroscopy- Collaborate with theoretical researchers in the design and optimization for new fundamental effects and the creation of polaritonic devices- Perform nonlinear optical measurements, using interferometric, angle-resolved, and correlation type techniques- Record, manage, and store collected data in line with NTUs data management policies- Disseminate results in the form of peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences- Experimental physicist with experience in exciton-polariton physics- Responsible for design, fabrication, lithography, and characterization of nanophotonic structures- Performance of nonlinear exciton-polariton experiments- Work as part of a team involving colleagues performing both theoretical and experimental work with exciton-polaritons- Disseminate research results in peer-reviewed international journals and at international conferences
Job Requirements- PhD in Physics, Material sciences, Chemistry, Engineering from a reputable University- Track record of peer-reviewed papers in international journals- Experience in the setup and performance of nonlinear optical experiences- Experience in experimental optical physics
