JR28631 IC Package EDA Engineer

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of experience or
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years
- Applications Engineering, Solutions Architect, or related work experience

**Job Description**:

- Develop & deploy best in class EDA tools, methodologies, & flows for PKG development
- Automate flows to accelerate end-to-end package design process
- Enable package development teams with various ECAD, codesign and thermal/mechanical/electrical simulation analysis software
- Lead software evaluations directly with EDA vendors and benchmark against internal requirements to identify best in class solutions
- Assist in deployment & optimal integration of identified EDA solutions within design function teams & flows
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert & advisor for adopted EDA solutions
- Interface with EDA vendors to resolve software issues & drive enhancement requests
- Create and manage technical relationships with vendors and industry leaders
- Stay up-to-date vendor solutions, ongoing developments, and roadmaps
- Support the design group’s continuous improvement efforts
- Contribute to package design rules and system development

Job Requirements:

- Familiarity with Mentor/Siemens Xpedtion design & Hyperlynx analysis flows (primary)
- Familiarity with Cadence APD design & thermal/mechanical/electrical analysis flows (primary)
- Scripting/programming experience with SKILL, Tcl/tk, PERL, Python (preferred)
- Experience with PCB library management (preferred)
- Experience with schematic capture flows (primary)
- System-in-package/PCB design (primary)
- Signal/Power Integrity Analysis/Optimization (primary)
