Job Description:
Our client is a leading IC design startup that specializes in developing chips for optical technology to improve speed, reliability, and energy efficiency in modern systems. They are seeking a skilled IT Engineer (EDA Tools) to maintain and enhance their mission-critical IT environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire EDA tool ecosystem, ensuring high availability, security, and performance to enable engineers to design world-class products.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, update, and fix engineering design software (EDA tools) and their licenses.
  • Maintain computer servers and resolve issues promptly.
  • Create automated systems to simplify engineers' work and increase productivity.
  • Develop scripts and assist with tasks on Linux systems.
  • Collaborate with design teams to resolve IT issues and find solutions.
  • Ensure systems meet security standards and comply with company regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience directly related to IT environment duties.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment, SGE/LSF job scheduler.
  • Knowledge of EDA license management, EDA software administration, and installation.
  • High script skills, willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience with version control software such as Git/Gerrit/Jenkins/ClearCase.
