**Specific Roles and Responsibilities**
- Conduct training to technical and business partners on products and conditions
- Draft scientific/medical position papers on various topics
- Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to internal and external customers, where requested
- Provide medical support to the marketing and product planning groups for new products, line extensions, and new indications.
- Collaborate with the marketing managers in preparing scientific content for Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health Medical Education activities.
- Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences and develop summaries of key messages for use within the company - such as key areas of scientific/company interest, new trends in diagnosis and management of illnesses relevant to consumer products, and updates in medical governance.
- Review, provide necessary scientific input and approve promotional materials or advertisements submitted by Sales and marketing, making sure that materials are compliant with internal policies and external regulations and all claims have substantiation and support.
- Claims Support - responsible for review, validation and management of claims tables and support documents for the Selfacre Franchise ensuring claims tables are complete and updated.
- Oversight of the AP Claims Support Library, making sure that the claims tables are complete and updated.
- Assist in addressing product specific medical information issues and/or draft recommendations and conclusions with other functions for appropriate course of action
- Provide medical information to assist in the defense of competitor claims.
- Provide medical and scientific information to support new product launches, including licensing activities.
- Research and index relevant scientific and medical literature to maintain knowledge of organization’s products and awareness of industry trends/changes. Circulate relevant literature to colleagues.
- Support the marketing strategy through active participation in the Regional Franchise Teams as the Medical Affairs representative.
- Provide medical and scientific support for marketed products. Drafting and updating regional procedural documents related to Medical Affairs.

**Qualifications** REQUIRED COMPETENCY AND SKILLS**
- An advanced degree (e.g., PhD or Pharmacy or MBBS / MD) is required.
- At least 3 to 5 years medical affairs experience is preferred
- Strong commitment to compliance with relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Results oriented and able to independently create and deliver
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Decision making and Problem Solving Skills
- Ability to translate strategy into tactics
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with local, regional, and global cross-functional teams is essential
- May require up to 10% annual travel
