**Duties**:
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Budget Analyst, you will:

- Formulate, justify, and monitor internal budgets for Bureau components.
- Track FTE's and funding commitments by object class in relation to budgeted amounts.
- Review, control, and report on obligations and expenditures.
- Design various software programs as a means of analyzing and presenting data to be used in budget submissions and management requests for information.
- Prepare budget related documents for signature of the Budget Officer, Chief, Office of Financial Management, or others.

- Assisting with reviewing and analyzing budget information.**

**Master's or equivalent graduate degree**
**OR**
**2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.**
**OR**
**LL.B. or J.D., if related**
**OR**
**You may qualify on a combination of education and experience.**
- **Experience assisting with budget formulation/execution; AND**:

- **Experience processing budget related documentation.**

**1 full year of graduate level education**
**OR**
**Superior Academic Achievement**
**OR**
**You may qualify with a combination of experience and education.**

**Education**:

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
