- 1.0 OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance Manager is highly experienced in managing Testing teams within the game industry. Their main role will be dedicated to ensuring the successful project execution. They will be responsible for setting up, training, and managing the Quality Assurance Testing Production team. The Quality Assurance Manager will provide support to the Sales team helping their clients and supporting developing of new business.
- 2.0 DESCRIPTION
- Lead a Gaming QA Testing team.
- Monitor the progress of multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Manage, implement and maintain processes in compliance with the applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Manage QA/test team and external resources, working across multiple accounts, games, and platforms.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to QA/test team
- Oversee testing procedures, reports, and resources, to support quality management
- Coordinate and manage the Production team, including Test Leads, Testers, Engineers, and other roles as required
- Organize the teams’ work, by establishing a communication plan between client, internal cross functional team and cross studio teams
- Communicate the status of projects to senior management, as well as any risks and develop mitigation plans to offset risks
- Establish internal communication channels
- Determine the Testing strategy and technologies to be used in the Testing workflow
- Monitor internal/external costs and engage in cost-saving initiatives
- Achieve and maintain gross margin, revenue, and profitability goals for the dedicated groups and projects
- Ensure that staff is properly trained in all tool and technologies required for the project execution
- Conduct one-to-one meetings with direct reports twice a month
- Oversee all reviews, goals, and career development for the QA Testing team within Gaming Solution group
- Work directly with reports to ensure effective growth, both for the business and individual team members
- Generate quotes/approve non-standard budgets for potential projects for the Sales team
- Ensure that communication on any relevant topics involving groups is accurately and clearly conveyed, as well as properly implemented by all personnel within the dedicated groups
- Regularly revisit, initiate, and oversee process improvements within groups
- Attend client meetings to help develop business, as required
- Create, modify, and adjust structural systems within groups strategically to benefit the business, ensure client satisfaction, and utilize personnel in the best possible ways
- Execute disciplinary actions as required
- Assist with high-level negotiations/preferred pricing agreements with vendors on an ongoing basis, as required
- Sit in on high-level meetings and help generate ideas for improvement on a departmental, group and company level
- Consult with Sales team members on a regular basis to solicit and implement feedback, and institute plans to gain new business, and develop and safeguard existing business.

- 4.0 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Substantial experience within the Quality Assurance Testing in video game industry
- Proficiency with project management and version control software tools
- Knowledge of prior and current gen consoles, and PC
- Understanding of digital technologies (mobile, tablets, browser tools, etc.)
- Previous experience with Games QA, QC and Testing
