- 1.0 OVERVIEW

The position of Director, Gaming QA is a key one at TransPerfect Translations. Director, Gaming QA will set the vision, define the processes, and grow the team to enable TransPerfect to rapidly expand and support Gaming QA requirements in new markets, as well as strengthen existing markets. The scope will span various disciplines within Gaming QA including Functionality, Localization, Certification and Compliance testing, with a focus on building strategic partnerships with gaming companies. Director, Gaming QA will also partner with product managers, linguists, marketing teams, customer success teams, engineers, and designers to help bring TransPerfect’s revolutionary services and technology offerings to gaming companies around the world.
- 2.0 DESCRIPTION
- Define, manage, and optimize TransPerfect’s go-to-market strategy, processes, and success metrics to deliver the suite of TransPerfect Gaming QA products and services to gaming companies around the world.
- Hire, support and retain staff across the Gaming QA division.
- Lead forecasting, business projections, financial attribution, and goal setting with the strategy leaders.
- Build processes to scale Gaming QA services and technology.
- Develop tenets for prioritization and mechanisms for measurement and analysis related to Gaming QA offerings worldwide.
- Work with the software engineering team to create, evaluate, implement and maintain relevant technologies and tools.
- Partner with marketing and sales to inform market selection; influence GTM (go-to-market) global expansion strategy.
- Be the ambassador for the Gaming QA division
- Maintain a high level of production quality in all locales and languages where TransPerfect clients take their products.
- Manage resources to ensure high quality work is delivered, on time and on budget.
- Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.
- 3.0 REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proven track record of managing teams with different/competing priorities and ability to lead the team to strategic and tactical decisions.
- Strong ability to provide clear direction, timely and helpful feedback to improve processes to keep work on quality, budget, and schedule.
- Ability to interact and communicate with senior executives and navigate matrixed organizations to ensure successful project delivery and acceptance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Create a culture that provides continuous feedback, support, and empowerment.
- Be an internal advocate for Gaming QA operation development.
- 4.0 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, or direct relevant experience
- 12+ years of experience leading Gaming QA efforts for gaming companies, preferably for both client and vendor side
- Shipped 10+ AAA titles
- Experience fostering relationships at all levels of the organization, including presenting to C-Suite and cross functional leaders
- Experience building, advising, or using tooling related to Gaming QA
- Experience defining and implementing programs and staffing models ensuring efficiency and expansion of teams across various Gaming QA disciplines
- Deep understanding of Gaming QA resourcing landscape to creatively solve different resourcing challenges
- Background managing Gaming QA Teams across a diverse set of content and media types (e.g., web, PC, console, mobile and VR games)
- 5.0 DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with managing or exposure to other Gaming solutions such as Art Services, Localization, Player Support, Co-development and Engineering
