You will be a part of HPB’s Nursing & Clinical Standards department which facilitate the transfer of knowledge and best practices to promote and sustain holistic care for students or parents through the development of nursing clinical practice guidelines, audit and training of nurses. The department oversee implementation of the screening, immunisation and intervention programme for children by nurses and play the critical support role of HPB’s response to national emergency situations during pandemics by partnering with public sectors and co-ordinate teams such as infectious disease outbreak and national / civil disasters.
**Scope**
The job holder will provide leadership for the Nursing and the Clinical Standards Department by translating division’s visions and goals into execution with the nursing team. The incumbent manages nursing manpower, financial and training resources, formulate and undertake audit activities to ensure the provision of high quality preventive screening services to the school going population.
As the Head of Nursing, you will take the lead in succession planning and mentoring high -potential nurses to be future leaders of the organisation. The role includes co-ordination and deployment of health manpower in national emergencies such as infectious diseases outbreak, pandemics and public health emergencies.
And last but not the least, you will establish and maintain rapport with Chief Nursing Officer, MOH, Chief Nurses, Nursing Directors and Nursing Educators for effective co-ordination and administration of nursing service at National Level.
**Skills and Experience You’ll Bring**
You’ll need to be a dynamic and self-motivated registered nurse with at least 10 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in a senior nursing management role in a healthcare setting) with excellent interpersonal skills, and possess
- Track record in project management and execution, stakeholders’ management and supervisory experience.
- Ability to multi-tasks in a dynamic, fluent and fast changing environment
- Analytical, resourceful, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams to achieve the department and organisations’ goals.
- Strong people and communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable in managing tasks and set priorities.
