ING in Asia Pacific
In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 13 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. The bank also started its digital banking platform in the Philippines in 2018. ING’s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMB in Thailand.
Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.
Function Overview
ING Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working with the Non-Linear & Structuring Trading Desk, supporting Traders and Structures with various tasks. There will be some documentation of Trading Desk Procedures with opportunity to learn how the trading aspects in a dealing room environment. Interns will also assist in developing spreadsheet tools, presentations to assist in producing Sales pitch books, and adhoc projects
What do we ask of you? (Skills & Specifications)- Very good knowledge of excel & VBA- Background (bachelor or master) in finance- Being autonomous- Creative - can think out of the box
