[What the role is]
As part of the Stakeholder Engagement section within the Safety Policy and Planning Division (SPP), you will play a significant role in the promotion of aviation safety, to support aviation safety regulation.
You will be part of a dynamic team that develops and drives the aviation safety promotion strategy for CAAS, with a view to strengthening positive safety culture in Singapore’s aviation sector and internalising a safety mindset among aviation workers.
[What you will be working on]
You will support the management in developing plans and coordinating activities to engage stakeholders effectively to communicate key safety messages. You will work with colleagues in safety regulation, corporate communications and other relevant areas to use internal and external outreach modes and curate the content. You will also monitor the implementation of the strategy and its associated safety promotion activities, to ensure it is effective in contributing to achieving national aviation safety objectives.
As part of your work, you will also enhance the outreach network and capabilities so that CAAS can engage aviation organisations and aviation workers on safety promotion, safety culture, rule changes and other essential notifications. You will lead the generation of content for CAAS safety publications (e.g. The Leading Edge) and be part of the organising team for key large-scale safety forums (e.g CAAS Aviation Safety Forum). You will have opportunities to engage industry, management, and colleagues from various fields. You will also have opportunities to lead and drive projects.
[What we are looking for]
- Experience in the fields of aviation, safety culture and/or voluntary safety reporting would be preferred
- Skillsets in safety promotion, stakeholder engagement, and/or communications would be an added advantage
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to influence and drive win-win goals across key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Able to perform effectively both independently to helm projects, as well as in teams to drive collaborations with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong motivation and desire to achieve excellence
