Cw - Japac Finance Manager

Manages statutory and financial reporting of the JAPAC headquarters entity. This includes, but not limited to, compliance filing, local statutory accounting and tax filing, government survey, etc.
- Ensures financial compliance aligned to both local and corporate policies/accounting standards
- Owns and monitors monthly closing, including raising closing entries, reviewing entries raised by service providers, analysing trial balance and balance sheet to understand and explain major variances, etc., to ensure financial reporting accuracy and completeness
- Oversees financial operations in the areas of treasury, procure-to-pay, tax, and other finance related activities of the JAPAC headquarters
- Conducts finance internal control verification including annual IICC verification, finance review of payment, BTA reconciliation, etc.
- Leads the external audit process. Works and liaises with external auditors. Reviews drafted audited financial statements and communicates any potential audit adjustments to the Finance Director
- Liaises with external accounting service providers for all related accounting and tax matters
- Regularly assesses the need of management fee charge for JAPAC headquarters. Prepares TP calculation to support any management fee charges
- Manages JAPAC departmental capex forecast, budget and LRS. Acts as JAPAC key contact and works closely with JAPAC affiliates and global planning team
- Prepares and submits monthly cash flow forecast for JAPAC headquarters
- Finance ownership in supporting the organizational chart simplification effort, i.e., winding up any dormant entity
- Represents JAPAC in the global rollout of Amex GBT, global expense reimbursement policy update, second card implementation, and other global/regional projects
- Drives JAPAC process improvement, simplification, and automation in any non-FP&A areas
- Enhances finance operating model via identifying key improvement initiatives of JAPAC F&A. Represents JAPAC HQ to participate in JAPAC F&A forum. Publish Finance Newsletters to promote staff engagement and belongings
- Assists in treasury matters on a needed basis. Participates in treasury projects which includes China cross-border cash pooling project, Korea Intercompany payment automation project, etc.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Degree in Economics or Business Administration Experience of more than 10 years work in similar position/s in an international environment.
- Experience in a regional role and having worked in an international matrix organization with a Headquarters in the US is valuable.
- Leadership experience is critical.
- Sound experience in accounting, consolidation & reporting
- Treasury experience is a plus but not essential
- Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
- Excellent user of Office Programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, SAP.
