CW Talent Solutions is partnering with one of the world's most prestigious hedge funds to hire a Quantitative Commodities Portfolio Manager. This is a rare opportunity to lead the development and management of systematic trading strategies within the commodities space, leveraging world-class infrastructure, proprietary data, and a collaborative global platform.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Portfolio Manager to design and execute systematic strategies across the commodities markets. You'll take a lead role in identifying inefficiencies and alpha opportunities in global markets including energy, metals, agriculture, and carbon.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement systematic, alpha-generating strategies across global commodities markets
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative research to uncover market inefficiencies and patterns in commodity price behavior
  • Leverage advanced statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques to build and refine trading models
  • Manage a commodities portfolio with a focus on delivering strong risk-adjusted returns
  • Operate within the firm's sophisticated risk management framework to ensure disciplined execution
Preferred Experience
  • Proven track record in systematic commodities trading or research
  • Deep understanding of global commodities markets and asset-specific drivers
  • Strong quantitative and statistical modeling skills, including experience with machine learning techniques
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages used in quantitative finance
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a high-performance, collaborative environment
