**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The Fellow must conduct research with a well-defined research agenda during the term of the appointment (60% of the Fellow's portfolio) in order to secure a faculty position at a reputable Law School. It is expected that the Fellow will publish research papers in reputable refereed journals during his or her term of the appointment and give at least one Research Seminar at SMU annually.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Doctorate degree in law from a reputable university.
- The applicant must be of exceptional calibre, having attained a doctoral degree in law, which must have been successfully completed and examined during the period of 1 January 2022 to present.
**OTHER INFORMATION**
- The Fellow must be in residence at SMU throughout the term of his or her appointment
