**Job Purpose**:
The Senior Pre-press Specialist is adept at all the prepress areas (plate making, structural, database management).

**Responsibilities**:

- Production Operations - Computer to plate _
- Retrieve and recollect films, proofs and digital files for production of CTP
- Carry out machine maintenance actions such as disposing chemical, cleaning of plate processor, etc.
- Monitor the stock level for plates
- Production Operations - Database Management _
- Produce artwork production in accordance to customer’s and quality standards
- Perform job routine quality checks
- Handle file management system
- Report any non-conformance of processes or machines or functionality
- Production Operations - Structure Design _
- Packaging boxes
- Point of Sales display
- Any other paper-based creations
- Communicate with customers to rationalize design concepts when necessary
- Analyse problems and provide technically feasible concepts and materials for the most effective and economical solutions
- Develop documentation to support the structure design process and update daily status of new and existing jobs
- Perform job routine quality checks and ensure all prototypes are in required qualities
- Handle file management system
- Perform regular maintenance on machines
- Productivity and Innovation _
- Identify areas for improvement in Pre-press processes and assist in implementing feasible cost saving and productivity projects
- Administration _
- Troubleshoot any pre-press related issues ad provide technical support to customer’s enquiries
- Adhere to all operating, safety and ISO procedures
- Complete OJTs
- Perform 5S practices, housekeeping, safety procedures and material waste management

**Job Requirements**:

- At least 1 year of packaging structural design experience
- Creative designs and problem solving skills
- CAD/CAM Literacy is mandatory, especially following software:

- Adobe InDesign
- QuarkXpress Suite
- Adobe Acrobat & Distiller
- Macromedia Freehand and other DTP software
- Prep
- PackEdge
