**Draftsperson - Job responsibilities**:

- Type of drawings required is civil engineering drawings. Draftsperson is to generate cable route drawings based on topo drawings overlaid with services drawings. Cable routing needs to avoid existing services underground.
- Ensure CAD documentation follows office CAD QA manual, such as having the correct office title blocks, file name, line type, layer system etc.
- Help develop the office CAD QA manual with the Business Manager, seeking to improve it with consultation with colleagues.
- Help with inducting any new colleagues who will be using the CAD system with the CAD QA.
- Submit drawings to relevant authorities or client in the manner stipulated by them. That is, finding out what submission requirements are before commencing drafting. Check file format, layering system etc required.
- Ensure design complies with relevant statutory requirements and standards.
- Maintain the CAD block libraries if any, as per the CAD QA Manual.Application for plant maps.

**Site Visit**
- The Draftsperson may be required to go on site occasionally. The purpose is to enable the Draftspersonto obtain the necessary information in order to produce the CAD documentation.
- The Draftsperson needs to ensure he/she has the proper safety gear and safety credentials to be admitted on site. He/she is to obtain these way in advance of going on site.The Draftsperson is to ensure he/she brings all that is necessary for the site visit such as camera, measuring tape, sketchpad etc. He/she should also ask questions on site to obtain information necessary for CAD documentation.

**Others**
- The Draftsperson may be required to help with other minor administrative work not directly related to her job.
- The above is an overview of the work scope and responsibilities of a Draftsperson employed by the Company. It is by no means an exhaustive list. There may be other scope and responsibilities deemed normal by the industry which by default will be included in this Appendix.

A CAD competency test is required as part of the interview process.
