**Regional Strategy Manager**

**What can you expect?**

This is a dynamic role that cuts across boundaries and functions, and is primarily responsible for defining strategic priorities, validating execution plans, and ensuring that objectives are achieved. Reporting to the Regional Strategy Leader, this individual will engage with and support regional and country leaders to provide overall program management and implementation of their strategic agenda. The individual will contribute to the success of the business through (a) delivering high-level strategic/analytical thinking with practical implementation activities (b) assuming day-to-day responsibility for ensuring strategic priorities are delivered against, and (c) facilitating the success of business teams through progress management and directing attention to areas where focus is required. In addition to strategic planning and execution, depending on experience this individual will also be involved on M&A projects. Effective stakeholder management - at the country and regional level - is a critical part of the job.

**We will count on you to**:
Strategic Planning
- Lead strategic planning and analysis through understanding, advising and presenting macroeconomic and industry trends at both regional and country level
- Support regional and country leaders in strategic planning, program and implementation management, and regular reporting of progress to regional and international leadership
- Work with country leadership and business teams to ensure strategy is aligned with regional needs and priorities
- Ensure that strategic initiatives are identified and prioritized based on both understanding internal dynamics and immediate areas of need, and that appropriate resourcing is allocated
- Develop business case and facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, while providing an element of challenge to ensure projects are ambitious but achievable

Implementation
- Perform executive program management, including monitoring progress against deadlines and milestones, and coordinating follow-up with team leaders and function leaders
- Liaise between relevant stakeholders to ensure collaboration and coordination
- Manage multiple projects concurrently: provides work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports on a regular basis
- Manage the scope change process: identifies and anticipates risks and issues, facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation
- Lead the planning and implementation of business perspective work plans to determine the required tasks and resources (process, functional etc) for complex projects spanning multiple business units
- Follow-up to ensure commitments are kept and project benefit realized

M&A
- Lead or support full spectrum of M&A and inorganic growth activities - analysis, negotiation, diligence, completion and integration - in coordination with MMC Corporate Development
- Support pipeline development and management and ensure that relevant leaders are continuously engaged with and nurturing relationships with target prospects

**What you need to have**:

- 5-10 years of experience in strategy development and implementation, ideally with experience in consulting or corporate development
- Experience or familiarity with insurance or financial services industry is preferred
- Ambition to understand the business on a broad level and develop business management and operational experience
- Ability to think strategically, turn ambiguity into structure, and utilize business knowledge and market information to derive implications and insights from qualitative and quantitative data
