**Responsibilities**
About the Role:
The team collaborates with PIL senior leadership team and internal stakeholders to develop and constantly refine the company’s Liner business strategic game plan for sustained long term profitability. Supporting a wide range of projects, you will contribute in all aspects of the process, from initial research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, to plan execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain multi-year strategic plans and financial models for the Liner shipping business.
- Contribute to strategic studies and initiatives such as market expansion, new product developments, cargo flow optimisation, asset utilisation and efficiency.
- Through analysis of internal and external sources of data, to gain insight into the performance of the business and recommend improvements.
- Support strategic planning workshops, primary research (e.g. customer surveys, interview, focus groups), and analysis to develop strategic choices using hypothesis-driven thinking.
- Prepare presentations and strategic studies for senior management and board of directors.
- Track progress of strategic initiatives and work with performance analytics team to develop dashboards and presentations.
- Any other ad hoc duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor.
**Requirements**:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Critical thinker - analytical and methodical.
- Possess both quantitative and qualitative skills with basic knowledge of economics, corporate finance and statistics.
- Comfortable working with large datasets.
- Strong business writing skills and good command of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to translate data and trends into powerful strategies and compelling messaging.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems.
- Ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and create simple, compelling narratives for various audiences.
