RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Procurement:
- Analyze the internal spend profile for all assigned categories, e.g. Forwarding, Warehouse, Ocean Transportation, Air, and Trucking services.- Monitor market development and to understand and maintain the main cost drivers for assigned key categories.- Support the development of SEAANZ Logistics & Packaging Procurement Plan.- Source, tender, evaluate, negotiate, and conclude the (framework) contracts with most favorable commercial Terms & Conditions.- Maintain and update the framework contract list in the system.- Ensure all contracts are executed according to agreed contract terms, solve deviations and handle disputes.- Ensure the process of vendor pre-qualification, selection and evaluation is in place.- Ensure all purchasing within assigned categories are processed with the highest standards on professional ethics and in compliance with company Procurement policy.- Support to optimize the spend behavior towards with a majority of spend which are covered by framework contracts and automatic PO’s.- Support Global/Regional Category Managers to ensure the development and implementations of global/regional contracts in the region.- Support the company Digitalization journey to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Procurement process and the way of working.- Contribute to Procurement target and KPI’s like savings and DTP improvement.
Operational Procurement:
- Active involvement in managing operational situations with regards to logistics & packaging in SEAANZ region, e.g. day to day escalation from stakeholders on Ocean freight and Overseas tank Container, including space/equipment/invoicing/spot rates- Developing, tracking and reporting key performance indicators of the key logistics vendors, and analyze, initiate and implement the improvement actions with the vendors on frequent basis- Maintaining clear communication channels with other departments like Customer Service and Supply Chain as well as external vendors- Maintain transportation module for logistics and packaging vendors in SAP system- Creation of OA’s and issuance of PO’s in SAP system
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college- Preferred 3+ years’ experience in commercial, direct procurement or supply chain in chemical industry. Experience with raw material/ commodities are highly appreciated.- Fluent in English- Strategic thinker/planner- Strong oral and written communication skills- Strong Quantitative and Analytical Skills- Very good team player- Effectively handling global and regional stakeholders
