Senior Product Manager, Bandlab Sounds

BandLab is the flagship digital product in BandLab Technologies’ collective of music brands, and a leading social music creation platform with a global reach of over 50 million users, and growing quickly. **Who we are looking for**

As a Senior Product Manager for the Sounds team, you will be responsible for building new and improving existing products which help creators discover and use sound content across all of BandLab’s platforms.

You’ll be strategizing roadmaps, defining products and features from the ground up, identifying success metrics, and launching experiments that address the needs of our community of creators. In addition, you'll partner with our sound team, product design, and engineering teams to build engaging experiences that help creators discover high-quality samples to empower their creative process.

You will report directly to the Creation Product Lead and work closely with the executive team on the product roadmap and quarterly goals based on the well-defined business strategy. We would expect you to be an expert in product management and cross-functional communications and be able to digest multiple inputs and navigate complex tradeoffs between multiple parties.

**Key focus areas and responsibilities**
- Drive the development of Sounds products and features such as sample content channels, packs, libraries, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver fast and flexible API solutions for user and business needs.
- Work with artists and the content delivery teams to create high quality and relevant content for next-generation music producers.
- Translate the needs of multiple stakeholders into product requirements for the engineering team.
- Strategize, plan and monitor product development across sprints to balance resources and keep track of delivery via weekly check-ins.
- Own the product backlog and organize epics and stories into quarterly roadmaps.
- Organize product requirements via implementable user stories with clear acceptance criteria, wireframes, and event flows.

**Requirements**:

- Essential_
- 5+ years in product management with at least 2+ years of experience with products on both web and mobile.
- Ability to gather input and communicate with stakeholders; break down complex requirements into deliverables; inspire and rally a team around product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Ability to develop roadmaps, prioritize work, and efficiently plan and run development sprints.
- Experience writing bite-size user stories with clear acceptance criteria and story mapping.
- Data-driven mindset, ability to identify, set, and analyze product metrics, experience with A/B testing.
- Experience with release management and ability to coordinate product releases across multiple teams.
- Excellent organizational skills.

- Knowledge of music production and the music industry, in general, is a big plus.
- Passion for social products and interest in product and tech solutions driving them.
- Worked in or adjacent to consumer-facing apps, social networks, commerce/marketplaces.
- Experience in leading, owning, and shipping consumer-facing apps, social networks, and commerce/marketplaces products with engagement from millions of users.
