
Global HRis PMO Senior Manager

**SUMMARY**:
The Global Project Management Office (PMO) Senior Manager of Global Human Resource Information Services Group (HRIS) manages a consolidated project portfolio for Japan, APAC region, EMEA region, and Americas region and reports to the Global HRIS Director. The individual is responsible for ensuring projects are executed effectively and efficiently yet meeting quality and delivery expectations. The PMO is responsible for developing and maintaining high standards by establishing best-in-class HRIS project management. This individual communicates with Executive HR Management, including the Global Total Rewards and Global Talent Management Center of Excellence and the regional HR Heads. The Senior Manager of PMO oversees the project process including governance, team leadership, monitoring, prioritization, communication, and quality controls. The PMO Senior Manager should have a proven track record of successful project delivery, an ability to improve project management practices, and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on team development.
This person will act as an internal consultant to global HR stakeholders and be part of a team of Workday leaders that sit in the Human Resource Information Services Group and closely partner with Information Technology and other Human Resource peer groups. You will be expected to closely collaborate with teammates across the globe and ensure we are maximizing our Workday investment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Governance:
- Establish the PMO role and create a Center of Excellence in alignment with Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, quality standards and company requirements.
- Seek implementation efficiencies to meet or exceed the financial expectations established at project initiation.
- Develop, implement, and govern program management processes, dashboards, templates, policies, and metrics.
- Monitor compliance with project policies and standards.
Team Leadership:
- Coach and mentor project management practitioners and share knowledge of best practices.
- Establish the PMO organization structure, hire and manage project staffing requirements in line with project objectives.
- Coordinate project deliverables with Project Managers, Analysts, HR Leads, and staff in a direct and indirect reporting structure.
- Set annual performance targets for direct reports and conduct performance reviews.
- Oversee Regional PMO Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope, and on budget.
Prioritization:
- Provide executive leaders with the information needed to assess and decide which proposals have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment.
- Interface with executives to define project priorities, implementation opportunities, and challenges and communicate project risks and opportunities.
- Support or lead Cross Region Project Steering Committees
Hands-On Skills and Experience
- Skilled at managing global teams and projects.
- Skilled at managing Workday project deliverables and timelines.
- Direct responsibility for planning, organizing, and the direction of the organization’s project management office and programs.
“Chief of Staff” elements:
- Collaborating with executive and global HRIS leadership to determine and prioritize strategies
- Providing internal HRIS leadership with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork.
- Planning, coordinating, and keeping contents of HRIS leadership, steering committee meetings focused
- Determine key performance indicators and how to manage performance; oversee metrics reporting and overall operational/delivery performance.
- Support and be Global HRIS Head as “right hand” managing across internal disciplines, regions, and critical customer management.

- Excellent judgment with proven ability to identify problems and deal with complex issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly on challenging, complex, and difficult issues to develop solutions that address root causes.
- Ability to develop and deliver training to small and large groups.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to establish and manage a high-performance team.
- Foundational understanding of complex ERP environment, HR systems architecture, and database concepts
- Demonstrated initiative, facilitation, & interpersonal skills; proven ability to work well with and influence all levels
**EDUCATION & TRAINING**
- Master’s degree is preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 10 years of project management experience is preferred.
- PMP is highly desired.
