**Roles & Responsibilities**

The business is looking for a regional COO who will provide an oversight and supervisory responsibility over risk and support functions in APAC & China, including Finance, Risk, IT, Legal, Compliance & HR.

Role and responsibilities
- Supervise functions in the fields of Finance, HR, Internal Control & Compliance, IT, Risk Control and Legal
- Ensure adequate service delivery by each function through adequate steering
- develop and maintain processes and risk framework adapted to the specificities of the platform environment
- Provide comprehensive view on APAC & China business as well as on deals on the platform linked to base metals
- Ensure a smooth interaction between said Functions and Front entities / equivalent functions in Europe / transversal functions across business
- Provide resources to manage the business development projects in the region
- Foster cooperation and common understanding to improve maturity, agility and quality within the functions
- Organize control environment & risk limits framework
- When appropriate, simplify the processes to run the business in a lean and efficient way
- Develop and provide reporting structures and methods adapted to the platform performance analysis
- Organize management of the projects on Asia platform

Key requirements
- University degree and/or Master in Business and/or Economics
- 20 years of general professional experience
- 10 years+ of senior management experience, ideally with Risk or Finance background
- Skills to manage teams of highly qualified resources, communication skills
- Sound knowledge in the functional domains covered by Risk and support functions (Finance & Risk, Legal)
- Established leadership competencies, interpersonal communication and change management skills, effective animating/delegating/controlling, and create an interactive team spirit
- Management of teams of highly skilled professionals
- This role requires strong proficiency in Mandarin and English both Spoken & Written (as you will be liaising with China-based customers/clients who are only able to communicate in Mandarin)
- This role requires familarity with Chinese business culture and environment (as you will be interacting with China-based customers/clients)
