The Singapore Operations team oversees, shapes and grows the business in Grab Singapore. We contribute towards Grab’s vision of being Southeast Asia’s superapp by providing everyday services that matter most to consumers in Singapore. We develop and execute business strategies that help us achieve our vision in serving our community.
**Get to know the Role**
As part of the Singapore Operations team, the Merchant Operations team work alongside the business verticals to enable the various merchant-related strategic initiatives and ensure the core operations continue to run smoothly for food and grocery delivery community (eaters, merchants, drivers)
As the voice of GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabPay merchants in Grab Singapore and we advocate for solutions that best meet their needs. This would require close collaboration with various cross functional teams e.g product, regional teams, grab support teams.
Your contributions will have a direct impact on the food and grocery delivery community. You will be working closely with the business vertical and product teams to develop and execute merchant-facing solutions that will help serve our customers. You will manage a team that will drive cross functional projects, roll out new products, services and features, optimise processes while maintaining the day to day core merchant related operations in Singapore.
**The Day-to-Day Activities**:
- People and resources management
- Maintain effective and standard operational processes, identify process improvements and automation opportunities
- Improving and maintaining a controlled environment
- Coordinate complex relationships between multiple stakeholders and teams such as understanding and successfully navigate the intricacies of relationships between merchant operations, internal teams and customers.
- Obtain buy-in from internal teams and management for builds and resources to drive operational efficiencies
- Collaborate constantly with our senior management team to ensure alignment on goals
- Identify and solve problems at their core by analysing and deriving insights from large and complex sets of data
- Optimize operations through process development and innovation
**The Must-Haves**:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from renowned institute
- People manager with at least 5 years of prior experience in operation and product management, preferably in tech industry
- Be able to understand complex business processes and deal well with a high degree of ambiguity.
- Learn quickly, work independently, remain flexible with the ability to prioritize workloads, and maintain a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good analytical skills, solid business judgment, strong communication skill, and the capability to influence the organization to the right results.
**The Nice-to-Haves**:
- Prior experience in online food, grocery delivery, digital payment landscape
- Python, SQL, R knowledge
- Working knowledge of software tools such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Tableau, Power BI
- Experienced in starting management consulting, internal control/audit teams
