**Key responsibilities**:
Interprets reviews and approves technical requirements for surface equipment and systems independently. Provides technical product support and guidance through the project life cycle from the tender phase through design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation, and commissioning.

Takes lead technical role for a work package in a project, tender, or FEED study. Ensures that the project meets specifications, standards, and performance requirements within established budget and schedule. Leads a team of engineers, designers, and drafters through project execution. Acts as a technical focal point to the internal project team and external customer

**Job description**
- Works independently to establish design requirements, conceptualize, plan and execute technical deliverables
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, designers, and drafters for assigned project
- Responsible to ensure all engineering scope for the assigned project meets customer requirements and is delivered on time
- Work with Project Planner and Project Manager to plan, generate and maintain engineering schedule of assigned projects
- Technical focal point in the area of expertise for all communication with customers and internal project team
- Collaborate closely with internal project team members to ensure successful project execution
- Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
- Review and approve engineering documents, including specifications, drawings, MEL (Master Equipment List), DBI (Data Base Information), ECN (Engineering Change Notice), design documents, and procedures
- Facilitate design reviews
- Check the work of drafters, designers, and other engineers
- Provide technical support to equipment manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, test and installation activities
- Investigate non-conformances and provide technical disposition. Identify the root cause of any technical problems and propose solutions to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Actively contribute to department discussions relating to technical issues, lessons learned, organizational development, etc.
- May assist with competency development of others through mentoring, training sessions, etc.
- Responsible for quality and on-time delivery of assigned project
- Ensure good personal time management and weekly time entry into the SAP system
- Provide input to and support improvements to processes or work instructions
- Ensures that assignments conform to TechnipFMC BPMS, guidelines and specifications.
- Understand and comply with TechnipFMC HSE & Quality policies
- Visibly show commitment to HSE & Quality through participation in safety and quality initiatives
- Actively increases industry knowledge and awareness of new technologies through establishing contacts within the global organization and through wider industry publications, forums, etc.

**You are meant for this job if**
- BS or MS in Engineering.
- Generally 10-15 years of relevant industry experience.
- Expert knowledge of Controls & Automation and a good awareness of overall Shallow Water business and systems.
- Knowledge of topside control equipment such as Master Control station and associated equipment, Hydraulic Power Unit, Topside Umbilical termination unit, Subsea Power & Communication, and Chemical Injection Unit.
- Knowledge of subsea control equipment such as control modules and Shallow Water XT mounted controls.
- Familiar with API 17F, ISO 13628-1, and applicable IEC standards for controls.
- Sound understanding of Engineering practices, design methods & calculations.
- Ability to read, interpret & prepare applicable technical information & suggest design or process changes ensure functional and cost-effective results.
- Must have the drive and initiative to independently communicate, gather information, and make sound engineering decisions.
