- Education: A culinary degree or diploma is desirable, but practical experience can be considered.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and supervise a team, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Communication: Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with other kitchen staff and communicate instructions clearly.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
