[What the role is]
Economist (Behavioural Sciences)
[What you will be working on]
As a domain expert in the Behavioural Sciences, you will play a key role in proposing behavioural solutions to augment the efficacy and acceptability of LTA’s policies and initiatives. The scope includes:
- Undertaking statistical analysis of individual travel behaviour, with a view towards identifying nudges or behavioural solutions that promote a car-lite lifestyle
- Conducting research, including designing appropriate experiments, into transport-related outcomes that are observed to arise from the implementation of various interventions in the field
- Assisting with the execution of existing behavioural interventions that have been identified by LTA as having the potential to shift travel behaviour towards desirable outcomes, such as use of car-lite modes and travelling at off-peak times
[What we are looking for]
- Knowledge in any discipline, preferably in Economics or Psychology
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Firm grasp of the behavioural economics literature
- Prior research experience in designing RCTs, including field testing nudges in the land transport domain or more generally to promote pro-environmental behaviour, will be advantageous
- Possess the drive and resourcefulness to produce innovative behavioural solutions
- Excellent written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
