- Responsible for new growth and leading organizational momentum by developing innovative propositions in the General Insurance (GI) market and to a lesser extent the Retail/Personal Lines Insurance space.
- Responsible for the design, development, and management of products that are consistent with the business strategy, risk appetite and profitability goals of Zurich Singapore.
- Proven ability to work successfully with external partners, who offer new ways to engage with customers and offer a fresh focus to customer experience.
- Position reports directly to Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of Singapore and matrix report to the Head of Customer Distribution & Marketing (CDM)

**Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities**:

- **Product Development**: Independently manage (and/or assist underwriting Line of Business leaders with managing) the full product development lifecycle including market research, product ideation, business case development, defining unique sales and market propositions, selection of distribution partners, go-to-market pricing, profit/loss analysis, product and marketing materials production, etc.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including Distribution, Underwriting, Pricing, Operations/IT, Legal, Compliance and Claims, to ensure new products are launched in a timely manner. Monitor the progress of the product launch and communicate with all relevant stakeholders regarding the timeline and expectations.
- **Market Research & Analysis**: Analyze GI market trends and competitors’ product strategies; benchmark competitor product features, pricing, marketing, and promotion campaigns; identify partnership opportunities, and understand customer feedbacks, etc. to ensure our products and propositions are competitive and creating lasting values for our clients.
- **Business Development**: Collaborate with internal and external parties to co-create new product and service concepts that align with our GI strategy; develop customized products for our online/offline partners that fit well into their value chains or customer journeys/episodes; initiate new product ideas and manage the requirements to create new product with strong value proposition.
- **Product Strategy**: Assist the team head in identifying target market segments and developing business and product strategies, building sound business case of all new GI products, which includes defining unique value propositions, identifying target customer segments and distribution partners, conducting opportunity sizing and P&L analysis, etc.
- **Product Governance**: Regularly reviewing existing individual GI product performance and take remedial actions with relevant stakeholders; prepare presentation materials to seek product approvals from Product Committee; plan and conduct product training to internal stakeholders, distribution, call center team, etc., to facilitate understanding of product knowledge for sales and service.

**Job Qualifications**:

- University degree with 10 years of relevant work experience in insurance
- Experience in Product Management / Development, particularly in launching new insurance products
- Understanding of local GI business and good insights on business and product strategy
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to be highly collaborative and execute effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization
- Strong business acumen, result-oriented, innovative thinking and strong team players comfortable with sharing new ideas
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision in a fast-pace environment. Able to manage multiple workstreams under a tight timeframe.
- Have a growth mindset, passion for driving changes and willing to challenge status-quo to develop unique customer propositions and deliver exceptional customer experience.
- Knowledge of sales & marketing, emerging/digital technologies, customer experience design, data analytics, is a plus
