
Assistant Sales Manager

**About the Role**
The person is responsible for driving forward the business development for the Company, including cross-selling opportunities across Asia-Pacific region, China and beyond.
The person should be resourceful and efficient, and display a keenness in learning. A deep understanding of the Southeast Asian market and extensive experience in driving business growth in this region is required. Familiarity to procurement, logistics and shipping procedures would greatly support the role.
**Responsibilities**
- (The main job responsibilities should include, but not be limited to) _
- Identify and assess market trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities within the following industries: Commodities, Chemicals and Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Food-related.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive consistent and sustainable revenue growth.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers and vendors.
- Identify new business opportunities and engage prospective customers, present our product offerings, and negotiate favourable contracts and agreements.
- Collaborate and support General Manager, supply chain and logistics teams.
- Track and analyse key performance metrics, evaluate market dynamics, and provide regular reports and recommendations.
- Negotiate international purchase agreements and contracts, support in payment, license/permit regulations, import/export procedures and other related aspects.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote product awareness and establish connections.
- Strong collaborative spirit and ability to navigate challenges while working with cross-functional, onsite and offshore teams. Any other tasks assigned by the Company.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in similar roles and industries.
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration/Sales & Marketing, or equivalent in a related field.
- Sales and practical experience in trading and exporting to/from China, Southeast Asia, Middle East.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and possess strong business acumen with a proven track record in Business Development.
- High level of interpersonal skills, strong work ethics, and strong ability to network across different Countries and cultures.
- Willingness to travel internationally, as required.
- Billingual in written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficient in Microsoft Office
