Child Protective Service takes the lead in child protection policies and processes to safeguard the safety and well-being of children and young persons in Singapore.

**What you will be working on**
- The Assistant Director leads up to 3 teams of Child Protection Officers (CPOs) and take on the role of a Protector (gazetted under Children and Young Persons Act) to safeguard children’s safety and wellbeing by providing statutory intervention to address the needs of children and young persons who have been abused or neglected. The Assistant Director will be supporting the Deputy Director in the running of the operations section and reviewing operational policies and solutions to address various challenges to meet the goals of Child Protective Service (CPS)/ Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG). As an Assistant Director, you will a) Support supervisors and their CPOs to provide statutory intervention and supportive services to address the needs of children and young persons who have been abused or neglected. b) Provide guidance to CPOs to work closely with the public and people sectors to provide services for children who are in need of statutory guidance or care and protection because of abuse or neglect. c) Support and contribute to the development, implementation, and reviews of operational policies and processes on child protection, or to tap on technologies/innovation to improve effectiveness and efficiency of child protection’s functions.
