Buy-side Middle Office Sales
This role reflects FactSet’s conviction in approaching our clients with a good understanding of their business models and workflows to accelerate our own growth with those in the middle office making and supporting investment decisions.
In this role, the individual will be partnering with Generalist Sales, Client Services, Trading Sales, Front Office Sales, and Implementation Teams. The role will focus on the needs of the various firm types within Buy-side, including institutional asset managers, asset owners, insurance, and hedge funds. The role will be the SME for FactSet’s Enterprise Data and Analytics Solutions, and align these solutions with client workflows to help support the sales process. Throughout these engagements the specialist will execute a client-centric approach and exhibit enterprise solution selling techniques. The individual will own the Core Enterprise Data solutions business in Singapore. Additionally, we work closely with the Content, Reporting, Performance and Risk product teams to provide constructive client feedback and develop FactSet’s solution roadmap.
Success in the position will be determined by the extent to which the specialist can expand FactSet’s market share and extend our middle office solutions within client workflows. Core products the specialist will need familiarity with include: Standard DataFeeds, Data Exploration, OnDemand (API), Exchange DataFeeds, Benchmark Feeds, the Open:FactSet Marketplace, and other cloud based solutions. In addition, this person will also cover the middle office portfolio analytics solutions such as Portfolio Analysis, Asset Allocation, Portfolio Optimization and Risk Models.
Role Responsibilities:
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for building relationships with key client contacts and developing customized solutions from FactSet’s data, products and support that enhance client operations and decision making. The responsibilities of this role include prospecting, lead generation, closing new prospects, up selling existing accounts, and retaining existing book of business. In addition, the salesperson is expected to:
- Build and manage a solid pipeline across key client types (Regional AMs, AOs, Quant HFs)- Increase client awareness about FactSet’s data feed and middle office analytics solutions- Deliver superb presentations and present winning proposals- Coordinate trials, negotiate terms, and structure contracts- Think strategically to price and close deals- Help uncover new workflows within clients to monetize content- Utilize and work closely with group resources including Sales Engineering and Support/Implementation.- Develop expertise in middle office workflows including content and analytics solutions- Collaborate with general sales and consulting teams to build a data and technology solutions strategy for their respective accounts- Represent FactSet’s off platform business by speaking fluently about all product lines at industry events- Provide feedback to Product Development to enhance and improve our products- Develop expert product and market knowledge- Qualify opportunities and manage the sales process
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of proven success in a sales and/or client facing role- Subject matter expertise in off-platform client workflows and deep knowledge of data solutions-
- Experience working with sql, python or other coding languages a plus- Robust industry network and cross functional exposure to above firm types- Display consistent willingness to educate sales teams on scalable off platform sales strategies- Willingness to learn and understand core industry trends and strategic initiatives being adopted by our clients - cloud, APIs, DaaS etc.- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills
