**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:

- As a member of ED & F Man’s back-office IT team, this position is responsible for server builds, proactive and reactive maintenance of the server estate and network infrastructure.
- An Expert level server support of ED&F Man’s global server infrastructure and Network.
- Able to mentor and support to other members of the team.

**DUTIES**:

- Representing Group IT and providing support to the Global estate during Singapore hours.
- Experience in managing Fortinet firewall, Cisco/HP switches is a MUST
- Provide L1/L2 network support onsite/remotely
- Good understanding of network technology WAN/LAN. (Minimum ability to create VPNs, basic routing configuration, installation of switches etc)
- Administering production servers and network equipment
- Implementing new Server and Network devices or related enhancements
- Monitoring and ensuring up time for mission critical production systems
- Converged communication experience or implementation of complex technicality such as MPLS
- Management of the VMware vSphere, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Active Directory and all other critical technologies
- Working alongside the ServiceDesk team to resolve escalated support calls and to offer advice and assistance to the more junior staff
- Management and maintenance of Active Directory (Inc. Group Policy, DNS, DHCP etc)
- Maintenance of datacentres and DR sites
- Monitoring of the infrastructure to proactively identify issues or problems before they occur
- Incident management
- Vendor and 3rd party liaison for escalations and problems
- Provide assistance to other members of the team as necessary
- Carry out ad-hoc project-based implementation work
- Manage/Support for backups and restores using Avamar and Veeam
- 5 working days - 7am to 4pm
- will be required to work after office hours and weekends when necessary

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:
A high level of technical skills is essential for this role, with a fundamental understanding of Networking, Microsoft products and virtualization. In addition, the following skills are required:

- Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configuration
- Providing daily global level 2 administration & support on networking (LAN, WiFi, WAN, Internet)
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, Fortinet firewalls, VPN, etc)
- Basic knowledge on layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols, specifically with routing and switching technologies and protocols, particularly TCP/IP, IPv6, BGP
- Monitoring of servers and networks, services, and systems performance
- Network/system troubleshooting - proactively respond to alarms from network monitoring tools and take appropriate actions to resolve the alarms or system alerts.
