**Job Summary**
The Digital Learning Office (DLO) is a newly established office under the Office of Provost. It is currently led by the Associate Provost focusing on new digital educational practices and technologies to support the University’s 2030 Work and Learn Framework. One of the key components of the 2030 framework is to provide digital learning to support a Work and Learn ecosystem seamlessly, and to provide a new forward-looking cyber-physical platform for the University's signature’s team-based teaching and learning and continuous education training (CET) for adult learners.

The 2030 Work and Learn Framework also aims to support a new form of cyber-physical learning where cyber students can learn in a safe environment at anytime and anyplace especially in real time without compromising much of the learning objectives, outcome and experiences as compared to their counterparts in a physical class.

The goal of DLO is to continuously develop new digital learning platforms that push the boundaries of future learning with improved fun and joy in team-based teaching and learning. Such new educational platforms and technologies will set a new benchmark and standard for personalized learning for both individual and customed team-based members.

**Job Objective**
**The Deputy Director for Digital Learning will work with the Associate Provost of DLO in managing the strategies and standards for the newly developed educational technologies and practices and will be instrumental in developing the digital learning model of the University proposed Cyber-physical campus. This will be called campusX. The person will also be responsible for managing relationships with industry, especially with advanced EduTech companies that includes start-ups, external collaborators, both locally and internationally, as well as government agencies and NGO.**
**The responsibilities of this role are**:

- Work with the Associate Provost of DLO in formulating digital learning strategies and programmes. This includes conducting regular reviews and reporting on programmes identified and which also includes CampusX
- Forge strategic collaborations engagements with both local and international partners such as educational institutions, industries, government and non-government agencies, so as to acquire and curate digital learning resources
- Explore and implement new educational technologies especially those related to AI- and deep-learning algorithms that can continuously improve learning experience
- Develop new digital learning platforms to support team-based learning for both physical and cyber students
- Leverage on data analytics to derive actionable insights that shape learning engagement initiatives
- Masters degree in Instructional Design, Education (Leaning Sciences) and/or Training and Development..
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience with deep domain knowledge in the area of learning technologies and pedagogy
- Prior experience in teaching and development of e-learning contents at tertiary level will be advantageous
- Familiar with emerging learning analytics, learning management system (LMS) and student-centric apps especially for digital learning **(eg. Adobe Captivate Prime, TovutiLMS, Blackboard, Schoology, SAP Litmas etc)**:

- Comfortable in managing dynamic and complex work situations with track record in securing and managing large research grants
