Work collaboratively with social service practitioners to conduct primary research and evaluate programmes and services. - Where relevant, conceptualize and conduct research studies on social issues relating to children and families, under the supervision of the Head of Research and Research Advisors. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) literature review, design of methods, management of data collection, data analysis and write up.
- Provide consultation and training to practitioners on research and evaluation.
- Present research and evaluation findings via reports, journal publications, research newsletters, and other platforms such as conferences.
- Lend research expertise (literature review, news sensing, trend spotting, etc.) to advocacy initiatives.
- Provide support for other departmental events and duties.
- The Senior Research Officer will be expected to work primarily in programme evaluation. He/she will be expected to lead discussions with practitioners at service centers, supervise Research Officers on projects and assignments relating to programme evaluation, take on some administrative responsibilities, and discharge his/her responsibilities with mínimal supervision from the Head.
