D&E Department

The D&E team collaborates strongly with Sales, Operations, regional management, and global innovation groups along the way. D&E also works hand in hand with the Construction team to develop and drive a vertically integrated design and ensures existing standards, regulatory frameworks and designs are managed and executed effectively, across our diverse APAC existing market, plus will support the strategic positioning of Vantage’s successful entry into emerging markets.

Position Description

Vantage is looking for an ambitious and self-starting Project Coordinator to drive core project coordination efforts across a wide spectrum of ongoing construction projects. We offer a professionally challenging and dynamic operating environment with responsibilities around new site development, facilitating design excellence before feeding into the construction process, as well as facility adapts for our key customers.

You will play a key role in the design production team that leads design and engineering for the largest individual cost center within the construction process and become engaged in all technical aspects. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver design concepts, specification development, submittal reviews, design document reviews, management of design-build contractors, oversight of installation, participation in commissioning, and transition to operations. Regular collaboration and proactive coordination is required with various technical disciplines as well as the construction management, project management teams and the equipment procurement team. You will be presented with complex organizational challenges and be asked to bring them to resolution with all the tools at your disposal.

Our team provides technical engineering information and assistance to ensure that new datacenter facilities comply with our bespoke customer requirements, are aligned with regional and global Vantage standards (as applicable), with unique the project requirements, all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications. A strong and broad knowledge of all aspects of design and construction project delivery as they relate to designing state-of-the-art datacenters is recommended.

Essential Job Functions

To assist in the management and successful design support service functions within the APAC design & engineering business namely:
- Support the administration of vendor contract payments and purchase orders in the Vantage payment system.- Manage individual assigned tasks throughout the site development and design process, inclusive of document management and procurement management.- Transcribe meeting minutes and action items and drive each item to closure.- Ensure project compliance with Vantage document controls and file specifications.- Administer project closeout and associated turnover documentation.- Assist with capturing project lessons learned and compiling action plans.- Participate in project meetings and follow up on key actions.- Assist with agenda and documents for regular meetings and drive action items to closure.- Assist design managers & engineers in implementation of project documents.- Take part in the development of an APAC Design & Engineering Handbook for ease of reference and in support of design & engineering. Ensure continual monitoring, and improvement once formed.- Procure and circulate all relevant design standards, local and building code regulatory requirements to internal and external project partners across APAC region.- Assist with the Safety in Design (SiD considerations and mitigation measures) process and create/maintain project documentation
