**What the role is**
- The Leadership Development Cluster oversees the Leadership and Talent Development policies and approaches at the Public Service level, to achieve the following key outcomes: 1. Effective and High-Performing Leaders & Leadership Teams who deliver with excellence today and innovate for tomorrow 2. Leadership Corps with Greater Diversity in experiences, skillsets & perspectives 3. One Public Service Leadership with a common purpose, identity and values We do so by ensuring that our leadership development (LD) approaches are fit-for-purpose. This includes how we identify, develop, and engage senior public service leaders as well as emerging leaders on the central leadership programmes (i.e. the Administrative Service and Public Service Leadership Programme). We do so in close partnership with our training partner, the Civil Service College as well as the HR community and leaders across the Public Service.
**What you will be working on**
- [Specific Job Responsibilities] - Oversee the policies, processes and systems for the implementation of the PSD Leadership Competency Frameworks (LCFs) and 360 feedback exercises (360s), to enable the Leadership Innovation Unit to develop and drive science
- and data-based LD practices across the Public Service. This includes: - Partnering agency HR in their implementation of LCFs and 360s for their Directors and Middle Managers e.g., develop/review resources/materials to facilitate implementation, review policies (including 360 data governance policies) and processes and refine as necessary, regular communications and engagements with agency HR to monitor progress, communicate changes, and provide support - Working with the Civil Service College to centrally implement 360 for Senior Leaders (PSs, DSs, CEs) and other ad hoc 360 cycles (e.g., newly-appointed Senior Leaders, officers on the Administrative Service) - Working with the Civil Service College to onboard agency HR onto the 360 module on the Engagement System for the administration of 360, make changes to 360 survey templates and reports when necessary, review the cost recovery model/costs for agency HR to come on board the Engagement System, and oversee the billing process of agency HR who use the Engagement System (including tracking and invoicing) - Other workstreams related to capability development for other leaders beyond those on the central talent schemes/programmes, such as the wider group of Directors and Middle Managers. These include: - Develop/review and communicate resources/programmes to support leaders in transition (e.g., newly appointed Directors and Middle Managers) - Awards secretariat for Exemplary Leaders Award
