
Vice President, Revenue Strategy

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Vice President, Revenue and Distribution functions as the strategic business leader of the Revenue & Distribution discipline for Capella Hotel Group. The role is providing leadership to the property Director of Revenue Management and overseas the revenue, pricing and inventory strategy of each hotel. Provides a holistic approach to revenue management for Rooms, Wellness and F&B to ensure revenue targets, booking pace goals and positive market share are achieved.
Responsible for exceeding CHG’s group-wide market share (RGI) and Top Line Revenue Key Performance Index. Oversees processes and tools associated with demand analyses, forecasting, inventory management and reporting.
Develops strong working relationship with property Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager.
**THE ROLE**
- Creates a Revenue Management Culture in all hotels
- Understands the overall key markets for each hotel, competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
- Develops strategies to meet revenue and booking goals
- Conducts frequent reviews of revenue and pricing strategy and ensures alignment between sales and revenue activities
- Partners with VP Sales to develop each property’s sales and distribution strategy
- Negotiates and implement connectivity, distribution and e-commerce solutions
- Participates in the annual budgeting process for each hotel
- Evaluate existing technology & platforms and recommends changes that will support Capella Hotel Group’s pipeline growth
- Oversees the set-up of revenue and forecasting systems
- Supports the pre-opening Sales & Marketing phase of new hotels in the portfolio
- Ensures suitable reporting of rooms performance, pace, booking pattern and market trends
- Provides clear outlook and recommendations for performance improvement
- Provides a 5/10 year plan for revenue growth and required resources at Corporate
- and Property level
- Develops a sustainable group-wide revenue management structure to support growth
- Supports Growth and Development by evaluating and providing input on revenue and market assumptions for new Business Development opportunities.
- Serves as authority in all revenue management processes
- Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively use Capella Hotel Group resources and administrative/support staff
**WORK EXPERIENCE**
- Previous experience as an Area or Regional Revenue Leader
**TECHNICAL SKILLS**
- Strong communication and relationship skills
- Confident in articulating and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in global revenue and distribution channels
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
- Ability to do financial planning and expense management
- Ability to draft strategic plans
- Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and deliver under pressure
- Good team player
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
