DESIGNATION : Manager (6-month contract), SMU International office
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop collaborations with partner universities by working with SMU stakeholders to develop collaborations in research, academic programmes and faculty and student mobility, aligned to SMU's strategic interests
- Manage, develop and renew agreements with partner universities
- Co-ordinate and manage SMU's participation in international education forums and networks, working with stakeholders to promote and profile SMU strengths
- SMU management's engagements with international entities, including incoming visits by university partners and overseas meetings involving SMU management
- Provide administrative support including the tracking of department deliverables, collation of department and/or university-level reports (monthly or quarterly basis), drafting of briefs/reports and presentations, scheduling of meetings, event logistics, desktop research and data analysis as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-graduate qualifications or Bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Marketing or fields of study with a global-orientation
- 6 years' experience in the international education sector or working on cross-cultural exchanges at the people-to-people level, or in similar field of work
- Proven high level skill in partner and project/event management - working with diverse teams and across cultures to achieve objectives, as well as in business development, analysis and cultural appreciation of foreign countries/markets
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous with an eye for detail and keen appreciation of good documentation
- Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
- A good combination of high intelligence, emotional and cultural quotient
