**JOB SUMMARY**

Responsible for planning and implementing activities related to the materials sourcing strategy functions, and to assure continuity of supply at the best possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of desired goods and services for all sites through selecting best-in-class suppliers, negotiating best prices, setting up favorable contracts, managing supplier relations and being involved in early stages of the new development process.

Interacts internally and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence. Manage Supplier executive relationship and support Business requirement to deliver to company and department KPIs.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead certain commodity teams in maintaining the cost price models for the assigned commodity, manage the process of selecting the right suppliers at the right time, in line with the sourcing strategy.
- Ensure optimization of the Supply Base. Work with cross-functional teams (with Quality, Logistics, R&D) and manage the approved vendor lists for the assigned commodity by determining the required competences and number of and most appropriate suppliers to fulfill current and future demand.
- To assure the short
- and long-term availability of required goods, by leading the process of making contracts with suppliers at optimal conditions.
- Lead the continual process of identification of improvement opportunities at suppliers and facilitate/manage the enhancement of suppliers’ performance and capabilities (supplier relations).
- Manage the purchasing processes and activities in new product introduction projects on: time, project and product costs, quality of the deliverables, information and organization.
- Improve the cost position by ensuring the initial buy is cost competitive and initiating and implementing cost reduction saving opportunities.
- Ensure business controls are in place to comply with the company’s requirements and processes are in compliance to ISO and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and build a strong team of Commodity Specialists to manage above deliverables and maintain key performance metrics.
- Coaching and building team to meet deliverables in GSBM
- Lead in any other initiatives as given by supervisor.
- Develop new sources of supply for required products.
- Lead the EMECH PCB and Interconnect, Fuse and Antenna and Project team

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**
- Master, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering / Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 10 years related industry experience in purchasing / procurement in an OEM or Contract Manufacturer.

**JOB-RELATED SKILLS & PRE-REQUISITES**
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in SAP system is highly desirable.
- Analytical with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player, self-driven and able to work independently towards achieving company/group objectives.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and to work with a variety of offshore locations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts.
- Experience in low volume high mix and VMI / pull manufacturing environment.
- Project Management and Presentation skills, an added advantage.
- Experience in sourcing & purchasing process, including ISO requirements.
