Our client, a global leader in the Retail Luxury Goods industry, has retained us to hire their Human Resources Travel Retail APAC.
This role reports directly to the VP Human Resources Director APAC with a dotted line to the Managing Director APAC for travel retail and the HRD Travel Retail Global, based in Europe.
Role purpose:
The Human Resources Manager Travel Retail APAC originates and coordinates Human Resources activities and objectives that will provide an employee oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Excellence in project management is required to meet global and local requirements with agility and efficiency whilst ensuring a full Employee Experience in line with the high standards required in the industry in which we compete.
Job responsibilities:
**HR Business Partnering**
- Be the point of contact in terms of Talent Development/Talent Acquisition/HR Business Partnering for each brand in Asia Pacific for Travel Retail activities
- Provide full spectrum HR advisory and operational support to Travel Retail teams on various HR aspects including recruitment & selection, employee relations, remuneration & benefits, performance management, HR projects and reports, in partnership with each local HR team
- Establish and lead the standard recruiting and hiring practices & procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce, and in line with the Group philosophy
- Coordinate actively talent mobilities
- In partnership with each local HR team, co-establish training and people development programs that address Brand training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, leadership development, specific training related to critical expertise we need at local/regional level
- In partnership with each local HR team, coordinate the implementation of performance management systems that includes performance development plans and employee development programs
- Ensure synergies and cross-collaboration between the brands, and share HR best practices regionally when relevant
- In partnership with each local HR team and the regional team, participate to the OMR process
**HR KPI & C&B**
- Monitor the Payroll & FTE forecasts together with each local HR team and the Regional TR Finance team
- Contribute to Budget construction and suggest appropriate budget for HC, trainings, and any other HR developments
- Conduct monthly/quarterly/yearly analysis of the HR KPIs (per Brand/per market)
- Conduct a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep TR management informed of new developments
- In partnership with each local HR team and the regional team, participate to the ICR process
**HR Project Management**
- Be the project champion on driving HR initiatives to enhance culture of innovation and organizational effectiveness across the Travel Retail organization
- Plan, coordinate and execute HR projects across the region, in close partnership with the Beauty HR team
- Plan and implement change management programs such as corporate culture workshop (in closed partnership with each Brand)
- Working closely with the local HR team to ensure the delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget, resource and policy
Skills and Experience
- This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience in a key market or at regional level with an international exposure.
- Broad knowledge and experience in talent acquisition, talent development, organization design, business partnering.
- Relatable industry experience is required, Luxury is strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience working in a large, matrix, global organization strongly preferred.
- Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English (Mandarin speaking is a plus).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial, and creative environment.
- Experience of navigating effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - objective and independent, diplomatic, assertive, gravitas.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Open to travel overseas on a regular basis
