Regional Sourcing Sub-category Leader

**Job Description Summary**: This role is pivotal in driving savings and efficiencies through management of supplier base. It collaborates with GEHC Regional Category Leaders, Global Category Leaders, Business Leaders and their teams, managing HR Services (Compensation & Benefits - Asia) in Professional services.

You will have prior experience/expertise to execute functional strategy, leverage in-depth understanding of business strategy to accomplish work and has technical & analytical abilities to solve problems.

This role reports directly to the Global Sub-Category Leader and will be based in Asia region. Our team members have the ability to work from home and from the local GE HealthCare office to be closer to their stakeholders (Hybrid).

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Partnering with key business stakeholders to support the needs of the business
- Develops solutions and delivers on priorities for the designated scope. Maintains metrics for sourcing scope and identifies new areas of opportunity to deliver or exceed targets.
- Develop and implement Indirect Sourcing strategy, within the RSL’s agreed scope and in line with global initiatives.
- Owns achieving Indirect savings targets, leading, and running project execution across their supply base
- Responsible for risk management in supplier base ensuring all compliance and quality standards are met.
- Liaise with stakeholders and Sourcing colleagues across the organization to understand /share best practices and leverage expertise.
- Identify and own local and cross SBU supply base. Leverage category contracts into assigned SBU to maximize opportunities.
- Drive business metrics affected by indirect Sourcing, identify new areas of cost out and implement operating efficiency.
- Provide feedback and support to other Sourcing Leaders including RSLs covering the same spend
- Interface with SBUs on cross business projects
- Provide appropriate contract coverage for goods and services in the region. Be proficient in executing the GEHC legal templates and negotiating terms and conditions, service levels and pricing with suppliers.

**Quality Specific Goals**:

- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
- Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.
- Develop and maintaining of fully qualified and compliant supply base.

**Qualifications**:

- Formal sourcing qualification / bachelor’s degree in engineering and /or equivalent degree
- Minimum 7 years of professional services sourcing experience, a portion of which in a large corporate sourcing environment including significant experience negotiating Health, Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, Retirement, and other related services
- Industry relevant experience, such as roles within health insurance industry, benefits consulting/outsourcing or working within the benefits administration for another large employer.
- Proven organizational and project management skills (multi-faceted & complex projects) with ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results on time.
- Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
- Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions.
- Delivered cross Functional/Business savings and deployed initiatives projects
- Shown ability to lead and cooperate with teams virtually and in person at all levels of an organization
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time
- Proficient with IT based tools
- Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments and targets
- Proven ability to influence and gain consensus to achieve priorities for the benefit of the company.
- Able to combine a strong sense of humility and partnership with Stakeholders and Suppliers, with the purpose of Sourcing’s mission, making GE HealthCare leaner and more cost efficient.
