Asia Consortium Manager

**The Semiconductor Climate Consortium **is a coalition of Members of the Semiconductor value chain who have committed to the vision of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in our own operations, in our value chains, and in other industries through the technologies we enable.

Members are aligned on the need to drive progressive climate action within our industry, including through support of the Paris Agreement and related accords driving the 1.5°C pathway.

Members are committed to the following objectives:

- **Collaboration **- Aligning on common approaches to continuously improve and reduce GHG emissions in the semiconductor industry value chain
- **Transparency **- Publicly reporting progress and Scope 1, 2, & 3 GHG emissions annually according to the guidelines and principles in the GHG Protocol and alignment to key underlying assumptions
- **Ambition **- Setting near-term and long-term targets in accordance with the best available science, with the aim of reaching Net Zero GHG emissions per the GHG Protocol no later than 2050

The Governing Council will act as the governing body for the Consortium and will retain oversight and development of governance and assurance, as well as input to SEMI on budgetary due diligence with support from a SEMI-provided Consortium Manager.

**THE ROLE**:
The Asia Consortium Manager is accountable to the Asia SCC Audience and will report into SEMI Sustainability Head. The Asia Consortium Manager will have overall responsibility to provide bridging support services across the WGs and Asia SCC members as required. It will also include tasks that are Asia Climate focused in context to SCC
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position and reports directly to the VP of Sustainability Programs at HQ _

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- The Asia Consortium Manager will be responsible for supporting Working group administration and coordination specifically for the Asia Members
- Will be responsible to support the promotion and membership services for Asia members
- Work with HQ to provide a Asia friendly platform for working group and SAC meetings
- Responsible for maintenance and distribution of reports, proposals, papers, and other work product of the Consortium
- Providing consolidated voice of members from Asia as and when appropriate
- Enforcing confidentiality and anonymity requirements of consortium products
- Host any local meetings as desired
- Attend and support SEMICON SEA, Japan, China, Taiwan, India, South Korea

**WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: For Asia Members**
- You have helped SCC build a strong and active Climate voice that is useful/valuable to members and the value chain
- SCC members are supported and able to leverage their expertise for technical climate issues and engagement, and know the Consortium Management is supporting them
- Helping Asia members understand (i) the role of SCC (ii) their role in SCC (iii) understanding their climate ambitions and making sure their desires are addressed
- You have active engagement with all Asia members who are actively committing their roadmaps towards their emissions curve to align with SBTi trajectory

**CRITICAL SKILLS**:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (Creative Technical writing skill is a plus)
- Strong technical and analytic knowledge
- Great time management and project management skills
- Strong communications and presentation skills
- Social media marketing skills
- Meeting facilitation skills
- Event coordination skills

**KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE**:

- At least 4 years progressive experience in ESG and in Semiconductors
- Working knowledge of environmental sustainability issues and developments, particularly in the climate related aspects
- Demonstrated accomplishments in coordination specialty and/or technical background in the industry.
- Strong communication, cross cultural understanding and English (Writing and Speaking) skills are necessary.
- Computer literacy, such as Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
