**Roles & Responsibilities**
Due to a major growth in business and ambitious plans for the future; we are seeking an experienced Sales expert to join our team in Singapore, on a permanent basis.
As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for concentrating on the targeting, qualifying and profiling of potential new client opportunities that are deemed as strategically important to Steelcase. You will spend much of your time meeting with designers, architects, project managers and end users. At Steelcase we focus on insight led storytelling, innovation through a progressive culture and customer experiences.
**Key Position Responsibilities**
1. Support the direct sales division to achieve targets and margin.
2. Be responsible for monitoring the opportunities for vertical markets, especially design and architecture.
3. Profile, target, and qualify potential new sales opportunities with new clients.
4. Work with the Sales Manager to build strategic plans on how to develop the business.
5. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Steelcase’s products, services, culture, history, and research.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key A&D and Project Management companies.
7. Keep accurate market data and records of your activity with new accounts and new opportunities through the Salesforce CRM tool.
8. Set and support new product launches.
9. Work with internal colleagues to learn and understand content of global knowledge and research.
**Sales & Marketing**
10. Ensure that your own knowledge of all our product and service offerings is high.
11. Make sure you are conducting direct sales calls (cold calling and leads).
12. Report on your activity via Salesforce and other databases for weekly/monthly review.
13. Ensure all actions that result from sales calls are completed.
14. Attend industry networking events.
15. Support our Australian dealers.
**Market Knowledge**
16. Actively seek information about the market through speaking with stakeholders/ clients, reading journals and newspapers and utilising other research tools like Property Daily.
17. Actively seek information about professional development and utilise this information in sales approach.
**Team Work**
18. Understand and be committed to Steelcase’s values.
19. Build trust within the team through open and honest communication.
20. Undertake and complete allocated tasks on time and to the standard expected, communicating regularly with team members.
21. Build strong working relationship with Steelcase colleagues in Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and globally including the US and Europe.
**Knowledge & Experience Required**
- 7 - 10 years sales experience.
- Experienced in knowledge-based selling.
- Business acumen including being able to discuss business issues.
- Strong executive presence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Able to develop relationships and foster partnerships, focused on the A&D community.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintaining an energetic and positive attitude.
- Effective organisational skills.
- Strong product and industry knowledge.
- Be able to address and make presentations to groups.
- Ability to plan long-term.
