Analytical Specialist R&d Sfs

**MISSION AND KEY ROLE FOCUS**
- Providing analytical expertise and support to the internal customers for approved projects
- Partnering with the other R&D teams, Applications and Technical Service, providing analytical support to Corbion prioritized projects
- International collaboration and knowledge exchange with other locations within R&D and technical community.
- Sustaining Corbion’s business through excellent innovation and customer support
- In collaboration with the internal customers (R&D teams, Application, Tech services, QC, Product managers, Business development managers, Sales, etc.) coordinates, prioritizes, and delivers support for innovation and customers projects for SFS LATAM
- Works with internal and external customers on collaborative projects, developing customer partnerships, and provides analytical expertise as part of project support
- Represents Corbion Analytical Services group to external customers

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Define, plan and execute projects with teams based on business goals. Set deliverables
- Set-up, validation and execution of analytical methods,
- Collaborate with other departments and labs on purchasing of new equipment.
- Analyze results generated by technicians and labs.
- Ensure documentation and reporting of procedures and results according to the Corbion standards.
- Support and work together with the business in providing technical knowledge/input on (customer) projects.
- Literature research, and keeping the knowledge on level, send updates on competitor products, new technologies and trends.
- Actively builds open and collaborative teamwork between the analytical R&D and QC groups globally.
- Participates effectively on cross functional project teams, which may include, but not limited to, colleagues from R&D, Application, Sales, Technical Services, Business, Marketing, Operations, etc. as the needs of the projects requires.
- Brings in and translates scientific knowledge to projects and the overall business
- Liaison to Universities, Research Institutes, external labs, and consultants
- Actively participate in maintaining the facilities, equipment, and safety in the labs
- Support onboarding of colleagues

May need to travel up to 5% of working days.

**KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**
- BSc with 5-10 years of experience or MSc with 2-7 years of experience in analytical method development in a relevant industry.
- Experience with analytical techniques as gas chromatography and liquid chromatography.
- Experience with method development & validation and trouble shooting in a broad range of analytical techniques
- Experience in or affinity with chemical analyses in natural food ingredients
- Experience in method implementations
- Strong understanding of the principles of analytical techniques and lab equipment
- Possesses a customer focus, drive for results, and can-do mentality. Works with high motivation and passion to deliver results
- Strong people skills related to leading a project team, working with peers, and upper management. Open and easy communicator
- Able to initiate projects and bring new ideas into the organization. Capable of self-management, and multiple projects and tasks management
- Team-player: Builds on expertise of others, and is able to connect the dots to drive for optimal results for Corbion

- R&D Teams: in leading/supporting/advising the various projects for effective and efficient Analytical Service
- Application, Tech Service, Sales BDM: To provide the highest level of Analytical Service to customers requests and projects according to the priorities and approval process.
- Other Corbion functions and locations according to the needs and opportunities, in line with the prioritization approach.
