**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Marketing Strategy in Marketing Metals based in Singapore, to lead key strategy and commercial responsibilities for the Metals Marketing Strategy team.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing Strategy for Metals, you will work collaboratively across the Metals sales teams, regions, assets and other functions to provide commercial insights and drive strategic projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Demonstrates and instils an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Demonstrates commitment to the BHP Charter and Code of Business Conduct.
- Leads the formulation and embedment of the mid and long term strategies and customer value proposition for all products in our product suite, in alignment with the overarching Sales & Marketing strategy.
- Establishes routines to regularly check adherence to plan are agreed and implemented.
- Works collaboratively with functions within the TMU (Technical Marketing, Sales Ops, Sales) and other TMUs in order to align views and buy to support the development and implementation of the TMU strategies.
- Understands key value and cost drivers for our products (mine to customer) and uses this knowledge to support the identification and execution of new commercialisation and value initiatives.
- Leads the evaluation and business case development for marketing commercial activities related to our product suite.
- Leads the marketing input in relation to the evaluation of portfolio activities led by BHP’s by Portfolio Strategy & Development function including potential acquisitions, divestments, portfolio strategy and asset strategy reviews.

**About You**:

- Effective communication: Encourages debate, collaboration and possibility
- Significant experience in Sales & Marketing specialising in Commodities.
- Experience of valuation, commercial, business development and/or technical background an advantage
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment with good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- High degree of persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills combined with autonomy.
- Proven track record of contributing to development of strategic and tactical plans.
