Astek is proposing an opportunity for **Data Engineer (Python/Java/SQL) **to support our project based in** Singapore.**
**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with business analyst and data scientists to implement and support data solutions that support common functions in the data lifecycle e.g. data onboarding, data distribution.
- Understand the requirements and create the documentation for business and technical specifications.
- Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources
- Develop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business
- Set up the data pipeline infrastructure strictly following technical guidelines and best practice.
- Perform data pipeline enhancements to reduces data quality and operational issues and improve the user experience.
- Perform data pipeline monitoring and job recovery following team arrangement.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in data management, data analytics, data engineering user. Preferably within investment and banking industry.
- Skilled with different programming languages such as Python, Java and SQL.
- Strong understanding of the principles, key controls and processes relating to data management as well as data integration and data distribution.
- Knowledgeable with various data visualization tool such as Denodo, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Familiar with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation methodology and/or Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
