The role
Drive category management for Lazada IT and Technology spend categories in a buy-to-consume environment; drive the baseline, solution and product design and implementation of initiatives. Develop and implement category strategy for Lazada sourcing. Lead supplier management activities which may include negotiating price, delivery and terms for purchases, capital project contracts and annual contracts to meet strategic goals. Continuously investigate process improvement opportunities within the purchasing area as well with suppliers.

Key tasks and responsibilities
- This position will assist to drive the sourcing and procurement of IT & Technology solutions and ensuring compliance with Lazada Procurement processes.
- Develop & drive category management strategies in a buy-to-consume environment to deliver business objectives for internal stakeholders and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers (external stakeholders)
- Deliver on the assigned components of the strategic plan ensuring best outcome for service, value and cost, in alignment with the business plans, and IT & Technology procurement Strategic plans.
- Deliver contracts and associated requirements using IT & Technology procurement transactional processes and activities ensuring these are conducted in accordance with Lazada Procurement processes governance policies.
- Ensure IT procurement activities are conducted effectively using process and systems in place, proposing improvements to existing processes and systems, and liaison with country BU based procurement teams to share best practices and learnings on both procurement processes as well as sourcing opportunities.
- Support change management and provide clear communication to drive implementation at the working team level.
- Foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication lines with key stakeholders and in and across the countries to work towards shared business goals.
- Provide guidance to internal & external stakeholders on procurement processes and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with Lazada procurement policies, standards/guideline.
- Manage the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.

**Job Requirements**
- Strong ability to engage and influence vertically and horizontally with stakeholders across company is crucial in ensuring category management strategies are adopted and meet business needs
- Effective negotiation and supply base management are required to ensure company maintains a competitive advantage in a dynamic and changing environment
- Performance-driven balanced with proven success of working effectively in a cross-functional team in an international environment
- Working knowledge in business/systems processes
