The Risk Management and Community Relations Executive will report into the **Head, Media, Community**
**Relations and Risk Management.
**Risk Management and Community Relations Executive **is one who will play a role in managing both risk-related matters and being able to establish good community relations in **Jurong-Clementi Town Council (JRTC) **. This role provides good growth opportunities for someone who can understand / combine risk management work with community engagement skills to ensure JRTC operates responsibly and maintains positive relationships with the communities it serves.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Risk Management**: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the Risks Register that affects the TC's objectives, reputation, or operations. Assist to develop risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- **Performance Measurement**: Supports the efforts based on metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and community engagement efforts. Monitor progress, analyse data, and prepare reports to measure the impact of initiatives and support decision-making.
- **Compliance and Regulatory Affairs**: Ensure updates and follow ups on internal audit matters regarding the TC's activities and operations and are following legal requirements and ethical practices. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- **Crisis and Reputation Management**: Assist to develop and execute crisis management plans to effectively respond to emergencies, incidents, or reputational challenges. Coordinate communications and actions during crises to protect the TC's reputation and maintain community trust.
- **Community Engagement**: Build and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders in the Town Council as well as the local community through training / education and community events. Foster collaboration and partnerships with national agencies to address shared concerns and develop initiatives that benefit both the TC and the community.
- **Communication and Public Relations**: Assist to develop and manage communication strategies to effectively convey the organization's initiatives, values, and community contributions. Be the liaison officer to support and handle media relations, public inquiries, and external communications related to risk management and community engagement.
**Requirements**:
- University degree or equivalent preferred.
- Should have 3 - 5 years of working experiences preferably with both audit work, as well as corporate communications or corporate affairs background.
- Relevant experience in accounting, internal control, corporate governance, risk management will also be advantageous.
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of risk management approaches, community dynamics, and the importance of social responsibility in Town Council success.

- Capacity to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
