About the Role

Responsible for supporting and overseeing the day-to-day collateral management activities of the Derivatives Business Management (“DBM”) in AIAIM.

What you will be doing
- OTC Margining and Collateral Settlement_- Monitoring the process of collateral valuation, margining, dispute resolution, collateral settlement, reconciliation, substitution, coupon claims, interest payment on cash collateral and resolve any issues in a timely manner with external service vendors- Review and follow up any exceptions on daily reports from external service vendors- Prepare any ad-hoc reports as requested by internal clients- Prepare ad-hoc transfers forms to GFS for security collateral movements
- Exchange Traded Derivatives Collateral Management_- Reconciliation of daily margin call amount on statements from clearing agents- Monitoring cash buffer in margin accounts with clearing agents and arrange funding with internal clients if necessary- Arranging security transfer for initial margin if applicable and updating internal records accordingly- Reconciling security collateral balance with clearing agent if applicable
- Collateral management_- On monthly basis, confirm list of eligible collaterals as advised by portfolio managers and communicate list to BP2S- Block position in Bloomberg AIM for the list of eligible collaterals- Preparation of adhoc transfer form to GFS for securities posted as collaterals-
- Liaise with BP2S and portfolio managers to resolve margin / collateral posting issues-
- Review collateral holdings report sent by BP2S-
- Perform daily position reconciliation on collateral pool securities-
- Construct coupon payments to EFM-
- Process Security lending and collateral swaps to increase bonds in the collateral pools-
- Support the movement of bonds to collateral pool from EFM & AIA portfolios- Segregated Initial Margin_- Reconciliation of collateral balance with segregated initial margin custodian- Coordinating the asset transfer with segregated initial margin custodian- Review of daily reports and follow up any exception- Monitoring of the segregated initial margin thresholds- Reconciliation of segregated initial margin exposures with external service vendor
- Collateral Optimization & Intra-fund Security Lending_- Coordination of collateral optimization (identification, proposing and approval) with internal and external stakeholders including rules setting- Monitoring of the sufficiency of collateral pool balance based on input from internal and external stakeholder, working with Asset Owner to fill up any gap in collateral inventory- Processing the necessary asset transfers with custodians- Reconciliation of collateral inventory balance- Preparation of security lending confirmation- Maintenance of collateral inventory and intra-fund security lending records, and communicate the same with internal clients and external service vendor- Daily collateral inventory pool reporting
- Cash Collateral Management_- Coordination of cash collateral pool setup for OTC, OTC Cleared and Exchange Traded Derivatives (identification, proposing and approval) with internal and external stakeholders including rules setting- Preparation of Start of Day and End of Day cash corridor report for internal clients- Reconciliation of cash collateral pool balance- Coordinating funding into the cash collateral pool if necessary
- Collateral Transformation_- Coordination of collateral transformation with internal stakeholders- Ensuring the settlement of collateral transformation in system

No financial loss due to settlement error / oversight and all collateral posting strictly follows the business terms agreed with counterparties.

4. Collateral Optimization and Intra-fund Security lending

Strictly following the instruction from internal clients to ensure the sufficiency in collateral inventory pool

5. Cash Collateral Management

No financial loss due to settlement error / oversight.

6. Collateral Transformation
