Overview:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of product import and export contracts, minimizing legal disputes with counterparties, and optimizing demurrage control processes. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cordial relationships with counterparties, resolving disputes through win-win proposals, and fostering improved relationships with various stakeholders involved in shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement product import and export contracts in accordance with contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
- Minimize legal disputes with counterparties by ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and resolving disputes through proactive communication and negotiation.
- Optimize demurrage control processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency in shipping operations.
- Develop and maintain cordial relationships with counterparties, agents, and surveyors to facilitate smooth implementation of contracts and charter parties.
- Resolve disputes with counterparties through win-win proposals and negotiation strategies, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop contacts with various counterparties, agents, and surveyors to expand the network and enhance the efficiency of shipping operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including trading desks, legal teams, and operations departments, to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze shipping operations performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in shipping operations, incorporating insights into operational strategies and decision-making processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of shipping operations activities, including contracts, charter parties, and communication records, to ensure transparency and accountability.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

- Graduate degree or certification courses in International Oil Trading, Loss Control, and Charter Parties.

Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:

- Relevant Experience: 10+ years
- Total Experience: 10-18 years
